Education transforms lives. UWS are dedicated to improving educational opportunities for some of the world’s poorest children living in remote and marginalised communities.

The approach is straightforward:

1. Work where children have no school to go to
2. Ensure buy-in from both the state and local communities
3. Train and develop teachers from within the community
4. Match our schools with more affluent partner schools to help fund, build and support them We teach children to read, write and count
5. Plan our exit from the outset - we have a long-term strategy in place for local community ownership of our schools
